After gaining a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and in Primary Education from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) she gained the Master of Arts in School Library Content and the Promotion of Reading organised jointly by the Universitat Autònoma Barcelona (UAB) and the Universitat de Barcelona (UB).

She also pursued the MA on Books and Literature for Children and Young Adults from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in agreement with the Banco del Libro de Venezuela and the MA in Research on Language and Literature Education from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), where she wrote her master’s thesis related to the GRETEL’s R&D project “Children’s and Youth digital literature: production, reading uses, reception and teaching practices”.

International PhD in Education (UAB) with her doctoral thesis “A través del nuevo milenio y lo que el lector literario encontró allí: La narrativa infantil para lectores de 8 a 10 años” (Through the new millennium and what the literary reader found there: Children’s narrative for readers aged 8 to 10). Interim Professor in the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and member of the Writing Committee of the journal Behinola, Haur eta Gazte Literature Aldizkaria.
